Main Street DeFuniak Springs announced its 2nd Annual Bounce on Baldwin, presented by White-Wilson Medical Center. Taking place on Saturday, June 11, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the end of the school year celebration will take place on two-blocks of Baldwin Avenue between S. 6th St. and S. 8th St.
On Monday, April 25, 2022, a Resolution was read by Mayor Pro-Tempore, Todd Bierbuam, on behalf of the City Council of DeFuniak Springs declaring May 2022 as National Preservation Month in the City of DeFuniak Springs.
Main Street DeFuniak Springs, in partnership with the City of DeFuniak Springs Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), will host nationally recognized speaker, Jeff Siegler, on Thursday, May 5, 2022. A widely known revitalization expert with ‘Revitalize or Die’, Siegler will present the importance of civic engagement and community pride in revitalization efforts and economy vitality.
Shoppers are invited to stroll the street while browsing local farm stands, food vendors, crafts, & gift items beginning Saturday, March 19, 2022, through Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Main Street DeFuniak Springs weekly Farmer’s Market.
The City of DeFuniak Springs will hold a ceremony to name an alley in honor of Benjamin “Ben” R. Woodham, the late son of Gary Woodham, owner of the DeFuniak Herald Beach Breeze Newspaper, and Cindy Woodham, owner of the Nook & Cranny consignment shop.
