The DeFuniak Springs Fire Department will host a 9/11 memorial ceremony Saturday, September 11, 2021, 9am at the DeFuniak Springs Amphitheater, 1184 Circle Drive. The public is invited to participate, and all first responders are encouraged to wear appropriate uniform and gear of choice.

Hosted weekly the Main Street Farmer’s Market is held every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to noon. New this year, vendors will be setup on Baldwin Avenue between S. 8th St. and S. 9th St. Shoppers are invited to stroll the street while browsing local farmers, makers, and bakers.
Beginning at 10:00 a.m. the March 19 Tractor Parade will travel along Baldwin Avenue starting from S. 5th St. near Firestone Service Center. The parade of rare and restored tractors will travel west on Baldwin Avenue, ending in front of TechPlanet, Inc., where the tractors will be parked and on display until noon.

The City of DeFuniak Springs will hold a ceremony to name an alley in honor of Benjamin “Ben” R. Woodham, the late son of Gary Woodham, owner of the DeFuniak Herald Beach Breeze Newspaper, and Cindy Woodham, owner of the Nook & Cranny consignment shop. The ceremony will take place on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. at the alley behind the Herald print operations building located at 25 8th Street, DeFuniak Springs.
