Who We Are

Main Street DeFuniak Springs (MSD) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization based in DeFuniak Springs, FL. MSD’s mission is to preserve, protect, maintain and improve the historic downtown district of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and to increase community events and economic vitality to the downtown business district region.

Economic Vitality
The Economic Vitality Committee focuses on capital, incentives, and other economic and financial tools to assist new and existing businesses, catalyze property development, and create a supportive environment for entrepreneurs and innovators.

Organization
The Organization Committee dedicated to strengthening the organization’s mission and presence in the community. This dynamic group rallies volunteers, fosters partnerships, and leads creative fundraising efforts. Through their energy and commitment, they build connections, generate resources, and inspire support—ensuring the organization thrives and grows.

Design & Beautification
The Design & Beautification Committee supports Main Street DeFuniak’s transformation by enhancing the physical and visual assets that set the area apart.

Promotions
The Promotions Committee positions Main Street DeFuniak as the center of the community and hub of economic activity, while creating a positive image that showcases a community’s unique characteristics.
