Small Business Seminar: Starting a Business
Main Street DeFuniak Springs will continue its series of seminars hosted in partnership with BancorpSouth and Florida SBDC at UWF. The second of its kind, “Starting a Business” will include pertinent information for those wondering if they have what it takes to start their own business, or those who have entrepreneurial ideas but need assistance or financing to make them happen. Although the program is free, space is limited and preregistration is required.
Starting a business? There are many items to consider. Join us on November 10th from 8:00am – 9:15 a.m. for this no-cost event taking place at The Florida Chautauqua Theatre, 840 Baldwin Ave, Defuniak Springs, FL 32435.
Florida SBDC at UWF business consultant, Taye Larry, will take you through a basic overview of launching your business. Discussion topics will include:

· Business Planning
· Marketing Strategy
· Sources of Funding
· Plus more!
Jeff DiBenedictis from BancorpSouth will discuss how to prepare for loan applications and prepare for discussions with lenders.
Main Street DeFuniak Springs Executive Director, Chelsea Blaich, will discuss why Main Street DeFuniak Springs and the City of DeFuniak Springs is the ideal location for new businesses, events coming up, and available properties.
