Main Street DeFuniak Springs has conceptual plans for a permanent structure to host our weekly Farmer’s Market. The period-correct structure would drastically improve the aesthetics of downtown and encourage walkability for patrons. The structure has the added benefit of allowing the street to remain open during Farmers Markets instead of the current method of closing the street to provide space for vendor tents. Additionally, the covered structure allows events to take place despite rain. The structure includes bathrooms and a public information kiosk that will serve the needs of not only farmers markets but other events & downtown businesses.
